Our Story
Little Gifted Hands Matter Initiative
Little Gifted Hands Matter Initiative is a goal-oriented social enterprise focusing on utilising entrepreneurial skills to mitigate poverty and minimise crime in out-of-school children in remote regions. The program is structured in 5 departments; Automobile repairs, electrical and electronic repairs, welding and fabrication, vulcanizing, panel beating and painting. Our training programs are executed in batches of 5 years with a limited number of children in each batch, to ensure a well monitored and productive outcome. Boys aged 8-12 years, and girls aged 8-15 years can register for our program. Read More >>
Our Mission
Our mission is to impart resourceful skills, requiring little to no startup capital, to mitigate poverty and reduce crime in remote regions. We aim to establish sustainable poverty mitigation initiatives. We aim to shape a world where our program participants possess essential life skills, positioning them as global achievers who lead meaningful and prosperous lives. These empowered individuals, in turn, contribute to society by mentoring new program entrants. Currently training 105 children in Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State, Nigeria, our goal is to expand this program based on impact assessments and the support of sponsors—local, national, and international bodies. We aspire to extend our reach to remote regions across Africa.
Our Vision
Our vision is to give a meaningful life and career to out-of-school children through training that supports economic mobility . We aim to establish a well-equipped, standardized automobile workshop to empower graduates to practice their skills and teach future program beneficiaries. As we progress, a boarding facility will be introduced for out-of-school children facing geographical constraints. In the long term, we aspire to evolve into a technical school for out-of-school children in remote regions across Africa. To achieve this, we seek collaboration and partnerships with individuals, organizations, local and international agencies, and companies committed to our cause.
